PSP-3000 battery lasts just as long as old one
There were rumors going around saying that the battery life of the PSP 3000 is shorter than the battery life of the old PSP 2000, but according to John Koller, hardware marketing director at PlayStation, this isn’t true. With the new PSP you can game about four to six hours and watch movies for about four to five hours.

You’re wondering what the benefits are to unlocking your PSP, The virtual “lock” that may be on your PSP is firmware. Firmware could be the application that manufacturers distribute that allows your PSP to play games, and movies in addition to control what varieties of games and movies the PSP accepts. Should you unbrick or downgrade the PSP you will be opening your PSP to so many far more games and movies than Sony distributes. Another nice part about unlocking your PSP is that you just can make your own movies and not need to pick from the meager selection of movies that Sony releases.
